Monday, June 9, 2008, Lima Peru

This morning we took a tour of Lima Peru. Our first stop was at the Larco Museum where they have a collection of over 45,000 artifacts, ceramics, gold, textiles, and erotic ceramic from ancient and Inca cultures.

After the museum we took a scenic drive along the ocean before heading to the Bohemian area of Lima where we got off the bus and walked around looking at the various buildings and stopping at a coffee shop the sells works of local artists.

At the end of the day the entire group met for our farewell diner. We went to the La Dama Juana restaurant for a diner show where we had Peruvian food and saw dances of the different regions of Peru. With the exception of the scissor dance most of the dances were similar in style to dances of various other countries.
